PURPOSE

Provide financial and administrative oversight of operations, maintaining close liaison with off-site managers of the various functional areas. Function as Finance Support for Data Sciences, Safety and Regulatory (DSSR), in the areas of Business / Financial Analysis.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial responsibility for GCE Solutions business
    • Monthly reporting and Balance Sheet
    • Oversee - banking/treasury aspects, accounting globally (Quickbooks), customer invoicing, vendor payments, customer contracting, budget and rate development and non-U.S. tax submissions, non-U.S. payroll
    • oversee roll in of GCE into IQVIA entities and systems according to planned timelines
    • Maintain client relations and support contract renewals and new wins
    • Manage GCE finance team
  • Support to the Business partner to DSSR service lines, including but not limited to Data Management, Biostatistics, Medical Writing, Lifecycle Safety, Cardiac Safety, Global Regulatory Affairs and Connected Devices.
  • Manage and report on V22 program including optimisation and cost control measures
  • Assist in Change order tracking and delivery
  • Assist in directionally Managing staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable legislation. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matters, including salary administration.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other functional leadership to improve efficiencies for Finance. Continually look for process improvement, seeking new ideas and ensuring open communication with staff. May participate in or lead corporate or departmental quality or process improvement initiatives.
  • Preparation of forecast and budget presentations, participation in forecasting and budget calls. Actively engage with Operational and finance team to co-ordinate FP&A activity.
  • Contribute to discussions on implementation of Finance strategy on a regional basis and implement objectives as appropriate. Ensure staff have a consistent understanding and positive impression of business strategy for regional and global objectives. Lead strategic initiatives and develop implementation plans.
  • Manage the Finance support function for a specific SBU, ensuring day-to-day support is provided to the relevant SBU Head, department heads and project managers to effectively manage projects profitably and within budget, record and forecast revenue, control and forecast operating expenses.
  • Work closely with and support managers of other finance areas (Billing, Cash Collections, DSO Management, PFM Resources and Budgeting / Business Analysis) and the Professional Services Centre, ensuring that information requested by these other groups is supplied timely and accurately.
  • Support / represent the Business Partner in other areas, special projects, task forces, etc. as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 JOB DESCRIPTION

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and 10 years’ experience in Finance and experience in leading a team directly or indirectly; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional travel.
