Role Summary

The Consultant in our EMEA team is essential for delivering on high quality solutions for key clients across the region.

The post holder will be expected to own and deliver work to clients independently, ensuring that high quality, thoroughly scoped outputs are delivered on time and within budget. Depending on the nature and scale of the work, this may involve leading a project, or leading defined streams of work within a larger program, and coordinating other workstreams to best manage the project and client. The types of projects delivered will be typically more complex studies, spanning multiple parts of the organization, and include a significant element of innovation in the methodology and approach employed. This is likely to include projects which combine market research, real world data and other secondary data in a holistic approach.

Central to the role will be the co-ordination and direction the post holder will provide to the delivery teams based off shore. The Consultant will be expected to provide guidance to these teams particularly in terms of the commercial rationale for the project and to ensure that the client’s point of view is maintained throughout the delivery process.

In addition, the post holder will be expected to have a role in supporting the generation of new business, both in terms of the development of proposals and support for marketing and thought leadership across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day client management of projects, including leading update meetings, and participating in delivery workshops. Participation in key aspects of project delivery, such as interview moderation, designing, structuring and delivering client reports and presentations
  • Supporting more senior members of the team in research design and planning for proposal purposes
  • Leadership of extended internal project teams to execute high quality research across multiple methodologies (RWD, PMR, AIML etc) and analysis on time and within budget
  • Planning, organising and managing all aspects of project delivery (scope, quality, resources, risk and timelines) to successfully complete specific project goals and objectives. Proactively identifying project related delivery risks and suggesting and implementing mitigating actions
  • Timely and clear communication of project status and any risks identified
  • Contributing to the EMEA community through networking and cross-team working

Skills, Experience & Education Required:

For this role we would be particularly interested to hear from those with a passion for generating insights to support commercial decision making in the pharmaceutical industry. Ideally -

  • Experience and understanding of RWD sources and how they can contribute to commercial solutions
  • Experience and understanding of PMR approaches, their limitations and how to get the most out of data
  • Demonstrable ability to think creatively and “outside of the box” in terms of methodologies to solve client business issues
  • Problem-solving attitude, anticipating issues early, analysing, interpreting and solving them proactively
  • Curiosity about developing and interpreting new insights, and ability to articulate the added value these bring to life sciences clients
  • Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral), demonstrated via: storyboarding, moderation skills, timely and appropriately informative escalation, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in a relevant and / or numerate / “structured thinking” subject such e.g. life sciences, chemistry, engineering, history etc.
