POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for initiating outbound calls to potential clients and incoming leads to qualify opportunities based on their interest levels to speak with an Account Manager. The Business Development Associate penetrates new and existing markets as determined by market research and identifies suspects to become prospect leads, to drive their outreach and qualification efforts toward the goal of qualified pipeline growth and resulting revenue. 
 

JOB FUNCTIONS
Principal Duties

a)    Lead Generation and Qualification    
•    Working closely with Account Executives to help build their pipeline by identifying early stage qualified opportunities  
•    Contact potential prospect companies based on outbound cold calling into core and expanded markets
•    Generating a significant volume of live connects from these identified companies that are passed on to the Account Manager or Business Development Associate for further pursuit based on qualification
•    Setting up conference calls between the Prospect and Pilgrim Rep for qualified opportunities
•    All updates to SFDC from outbound telemarketing calling and outbound email activities that includes but not limited to creating the lead, assigning activities to follow up, etc. 
•    All Account, Lead, Opportunities and activities on a daily basis

b)    Other Duties as Assigned     
Other tasks related to the department, such as special projects or research, will be completed as assigned


Decision Making
Lead qualification and assigning leads to the appropriate Business Development/ Sales Account Manager 


EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Minimum Educational Requirement - Bachelor Degree 

Optimum Educational Attainment - MBA or related degree.


Minimum Skill and Experience Requirement
The individual must possess 1-3 years of experience and strong skills in the following:

•    Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
•    Organization skills
•    Good communication (written and oral)    
•    Cold call into clients and prospects
•    Problem solving/trouble shooting 
•    SFDC experience

Knowledge of or experience with the following will lead to job success:

•    SFDC / CRM Experience
•    Volume Calling
