Associate Director, Sales Management & Operations

This position requires a unique blend of experience to effectively support our client as they build a new and highly specialized sales team.  The right individual for this position will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Sales Operations; including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE), Performance Dashboards, Incentive Compensation
  • Corporate Office experience in areas such as Sales Operations, Marketing, or other relevant commercial roles
  • Proven success as a Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales Leader
  • A strong drive to do more within an organization; has taken on roles with growing responsibility
  • A desire to help shape and grow an emerging biopharmaceutical company

The Associate Director, Sales Management & Operations will:

  • Will help build and support a sales team of Rare Disease Account Managers. Managerial duties include hiring, performance management, and administrative duties
  • Direct sales operations and support the development of associated business processes to support the field organization and ensure field sales productivity
  • Cultivate, develop, and foster strategic partnerships to provide insights and recommendations for solutions to drive business performance
  • Utilize insights from our client’s research and draw upon a deep understanding of industry trends and currently available solutions to anticipate marketplace changes and recommend strategies and actions accordingly
  • Manage and support the sales team from the IQVIA side on hiring, performance management, and administrative duties

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required; Advanced degree preferred
  • Required Experience:
    • 10 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales industry
      • Sales leadership experience required
      • Commercial Operations experience required
      • Other commercial experience such as marketing, sales training, etc. is a plus
    • Leading teams focused on developing efficient and effective operational processes and technology solutions
    • Expertise working with Pharmaceutical Sales Data, such as IQVIA data
    • Evaluating and implementing technology to improve efficiency and productivity
    • Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, MS Project and/or Visio
    • Vendor management
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Infusion products
    • Rare disease
    • Excellent understanding of products that are covered by medical benefits (Medicare Part B)
  • Ability to work in Paramus and Parsippany, NJ
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
