The Therapeutic Science & Strategy Unit has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Project Management within the Pediatric and Rare Disease Centers of Excellence (COE).
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide support for new business opportunities, RFPs, bid defenses including study design and strategy, site selection, patient recruitment/retention, budget, regulatory considerations, and operational aspects for pediatric studies.  Includes attending prep calls, creating and reviewing text, offering alternatives along with justifications, and presenting at bid defenses. 
  • Provide operational support for ongoing pediatric studies as needed, team training in pediatric specific issues, works directly with management team and sponsor when needed to explore solutions to risks and issues. 
  • Early engagement with clients as dictated by experience/indication 
  • Works to build and maintain relationships with sites and networks in collaboration with our precision enrollment group and others from site and patient networks.  Includes development of naïve site training materials.
  • Tracks all Pediatric and rare disease specific experience data for IQVIA.
  • Develops and updates materials for the Pediatric and Rare Disease COE for training, engagement, marketing (Core slide deck, back up slides with specific therapeutic area considerations, functional area capabilities specific to pediatrics, case studies).
  • Manages and maintains Pediatric and Rare Disease COE SharePoint which houses proposal text/BD slides, sample study materials such as consent/assent, budgets, contracts, COA/PROs, etc.  Works with pediatric study teams to collect materials and share with other teams.  
  • Organizes and runs Pediatric COE meetings—journal clubs, champions forums, extended team calls and maintains entire pediatric community – inviting teams and individuals showing expertise and interest in pediatrics to be active as a champion and/or expanded team member
  • Organizes and participates in new initiative around rare disease drug development including assisting in building the team, running meetings and engaging with clients about services.
  • Provide pediatric and rare disease thought leadership internally and externally

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field and 10 years’ clinical research experience including 6 years’ project management experience and experience in clinical operations; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
