Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement diagnostic and analytical procedures
  • Evaluate laboratory information
  • Report results in accordance to protocols mandated by the regulatory requirements
  • Maintains medical laboratory equipment performance by establishing quality standards; developing operations, quality, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of the budgets for all designated work units
  • Administers departmental personnel management programs to include, but not limited to: interviewing prospective hires, hiring, counselling and discipline of employees, performance appraisals
  • Supports global harmonization, process improvement and change management processes to improve efficiency and productivity worldwide.
  • Works directly with clients to understand requirements and ensure smooth operational delivery across the global Q2 Solutions network of laboratories.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Good understanding of legal and regulatory issues
  • Knowledge of Laboratory theory, procedures, practices and equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients through Laboratory Services
  • Excellent communications skills required, both verbal and written

Minimum required education and experience

  • Bachelor’s in medical laboratory science or related field. • Master’s degree in business administration advantageous.
