Assoc Principal, IQVIA Technologies

Position Description and Responsibilities:

One of the key growth objectives, both globally and in Canada, is for IQVIA to continue to grow and diversify our revenue within IQVIA Technologies. To realize this goal to its fullest, we need to employ an Assoc Principal with specific experience in selling and delivering both syndicated and custom Performance Dashboards & Scorecards, Business Intelligence Tools and other Analytical Solutions. The preferred candidate will have deep experience with IQVIA data, technology consulting and experience working with healthcare and/or life sciences clients. This person will be tasked with responsibility to help drive our Canadian sales efforts as part of the Performance Management and Insights team. They understand our clients’ business strategies and adapt our solution set to offer maximum business value to our customers. In addition, the successful candidate will be:

  • Able to create strong relationships with different departments and with peer business units in other geographies.
  • Seen as a leader in developing and maintaining client relationships. Develops and maintains a positive client experience and satisfaction with solutions.
  • Ensuring coordinated / collaborative efforts across multiple teams.
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of technology solution presentations and sales proposals to prospective clients.
  • Driving contract negotiations and closing sales agreement with new and existing clients.
  • Developing, maintaining, and strengthening client relationships to be seen as a trusted and valued partner in their success.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to leverage IQVIA’s Canadian and global solutions, adapting where necessary to meet specific client business needs.

Skills/Abilities and Behavioral Requirements:

  • Min. 8 years of increasing responsibility in sales or business development role related to technology consulting in the life sciences industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in analytic reporting solutions. 
  • Deep understanding of the intricacies, uses and value of the IQVIA datasets.
  • Results based leadership style skill set with strong impact and influencing skills.
  • Tenacity and energy in leading change towards an effective work environment. 
  • Ability to motivate, lead, coordinate teams without having direct reporting lines.
  • Ability to deliver technical presentations appropriately tailored to audience.
  • Strong analytical skills and process focus.
  • Ability to operate in both English and French an asset.
