The Performance Management and Insights team (PM&I) is based in Bath and specializes in providing technology solutions and data management services to pharmaceutical companies. Role Summary

We are looking for a professional and organised individual who will join our Data Management team in Bath as a Senior QA Analyst

This is a hybrid position which sits within production and QC – acquiring an understanding of the Client’s needs, of the data and the production processes.

To fill this role, you will have a bias towards Quality control and will be carrying out checks on reports and databases daily. 

You will be identifying issues and either resolving via problem solving techniques, or by reporting them via our operational support process.

We are looking for someone who has excellent soft skills; can talk to both internal and external clients with confidence and knowledge.  You will develop data validation processes by becoming familiar with all clients and their different data types.  You will implement and standardise these data validation processes, which will be used by production and QC teams within the department.

As previously stated, this role involves frequent communication with all stakeholders, and this is an initiative that is currently being encouraged throughout the department.  Therefore, you will be championing this initiative alongside the Line Manager and coaching the team to attain all the skills required to achieve the high standards we are setting ourselves for 2020.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day QC checks on jobs, and ensuring they are delivered to the Client on time.
  • Report bugs with required detail after investigating not just the issue, but where possible identifying the source.
  • Harmonize Production data and assist with new development work.
  • Attend and contribute to Client related meetings and discussions as required.
  • Assist and cover Operational support management.  This is an important part of the role and it requires a deep understanding of the processes and requirements to recognise, raise and manage through sprint queues, both blockers and client change requests.  Working alongside the production coordinator and the OS Manger to ensure that all actions are communicated and prioritised efficiently.
  • Mentor and train the existing team - ensuring all processes are fully understood and followed by the team in order to meet our SLAs and aim for a zero defective delivery mentality
  • Work to continue achieve all internal targets set for both QA team and departments. Work with the line manager to decide and manage the goals and objectives for the team and individuals.
  • Actively take part with audits; being the main point of contact for certain clients when improvements are required to processes and documentation.
  • Orientate new team members
  • Take an active role in the recruitment process of new team members
  • Be prepared to speak to both the internal and external client - ensuring they are your day-to-day focus; you will act as the go-to person to answer questions and carry out actions as required by the client
  • Take on and manage projects as they come along, ensure they are complete in a timely manner and achieve the goals set
