In October 2019, IQVIA was announced as a key partner within DATA-CAN. DATA-CAN is the UK’s National Health Data Research Hub for Cancer; and has the aim to unlock the power of data to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. IQVIA’s ODN provides the technology that will enable two of DATA-CAN’s priorities; improving NHS delivery of care and broadening access to clinical trials for NHS patients.

Position Summary

Senior Account Engagement Lead, Oncology Data Networks

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Site Engagement Lead who will be part of the cross-functional UK team, with the particular responsibility of leading and driving engagement with hospitals to achieve the define goals of building IQVIA’s Oncology Data Network. The primary objective of this role would be to identify possible suitable partner hospitals for the initiative, drive the strategic planning and implementation with these centers, pulling and coordinating with other UK engagement and technical roles appropriately to ensure contracting and the deployment of the solution with the centers within agreed goals and timings. This role reports to the DATA-CAN Programme Director and will work closely with the rest of the local and central deployment team.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Provide access to hospitals and a variety of stakeholders within these hospitals:
Pharmacists, IT Personnel, Hospital management, Oncology & Research services,
decision making Boards
• Drive engagements and profiling activities with NHS hospitals across the UK
o Development and communication of value messages and value proposition to
hospitals and stakeholders within the hospital
o Identification of sources of needs for the different hospitals and the different
stakeholders within a hospital and channel appropriately (through ODN or other
UK business solutions)
o Identification of key profile attributes in hospitals and segmentation to facilitate
informed decision around sites priorities aligned with strategy
o Drive the recruitment of sites
o Engage with confident with a wide range of potential users (nurses, pharmacists,
oncologist, researchers, technicians, etc.) at sites to assist the technical team in
business analysis activities

• Internal coordination of contracting with the different sites
• Transparent communication of engagement to both the country team and the
central team using tools provided by the central team
• Level of progress on a hospital by hospital level
• Impact of engagement of country strategy
• Impact of engagements on overarching European strategy
• Recording in appropriate systems (e.g CRM or other tracking tools/reports)
• Attendance and contributions to internal reviews.
• Full customer management of hospital:
o Hospital identification and profiling
o Hospital engagement

o Account Plan development and close tracking of engagement part
o Understanding of hospital needs
o Ensure fulfillment of customer needs
o Management of contracting process
o Continuous communication with hospital
• Other responsibilities include CAG (Country Advisory group) and other external

Education, Experience, & Specialised Knowledge Required:

• Extensive experience engaging with UK hospital stakeholders e.g. hospital general
management, Chief Medical Office / Director, Data Privacy, Senior Oncologists,
Senior Pharmacists within the NHS (must)
• Knowledge of NHS Network and decision flows (must)
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry sector
• Understanding of UK hospital information systems and patient data
• Experience in Oncology and research: basic understanding on oncology research
methodologies and Real-World Data and their advantages
• High experience in selling complex solutions or products into to the healthcare / NHS
sector, ideally within oncology.
• Experience in working within a matrix structure and Cross-functional Teams
• Strong communication skills
• Highly intellectually curious
• Keen for a new challenge
• Great can-do attitude and good team player
