Job Description Summary:

The Technical Trainer / Writer primary role will be to train all asset teams on Big Data Lake query languages/software to be used for basic to complex queries as well as for tool building and custom transformations. Additionally, this role will be responsible for all documentation of standard operating procedures / best practices from a technical and user perspective.  This documentation should follow IQVIA standards and be adaptable for ISO certification. The Technical Trainer must be able to use internal tools and query software and work efficiently to assist with the implementation of data assets into the IQVIA databases.   This role will provide support both US and global teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and 2-5 years related work experience with any BS degree
  • Advanced working knowledge of Hive, Hadoop, ReAct, JavaScript, Impala, Spark
  • Advanced knowledge and proficient in writing and executing SQL queries, SQL/Oracle
  • Proven ability to provide technical training and writing
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in addition to working well with peers
  • Ability to exercise judgment and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to manage several projects with overlapping schedules
  • Ability to learn new information and quickly build a knowledge base
