Senior Network IT Architect

The Senior Network IT Architect will provide direction and execution on IQVIA’s Global Network Infrastructure. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative and possess broad technical networking skills with the ability to implement solutions and changes across a large global organization.


  • Contributor role working with cross functional teams in defining strategy and technology roadmap for network WLAN, LAN and WAN architecture standards
  • Contributor role in enterprise and data center migration initiatives supporting global locations with SDWAN deployments, integration into IQVIA’s standards and cloud deployments and migrations with a focus on business operational requirements
  • Contributor role in network projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business and be a recognized subject matter expert in networking infrastructure
  • Define and maintain repeatable reference documentation for network architectures
  • Determine network design requirements and prepare cost estimates by evaluating business strategies and requirements
  • Monitor the effectiveness of solutions and guide modifications or design improvements
  • Design with automation intrinsic to the operational support of the network environment


  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco Nexus datacenter platforms with Cisco ACI and NX-OS essential
  • Experience with DevOps and automation platforms including scripting with Cisco ACI using XML/JSON, Postman, Ansible, Python and Terraform
  • Certification and/or expertise with a broad range of networking equipment design and configuration in the following areas:
    • Traditional hierarchical data center design, deployment and automation using Cisco NX-OS and Arista EOS technologies
    • Software Defined Networking design, deployment and automation for the data center using Cisco ACI and VMWare NSX-T
    • Software Defined WAN design, deployment and automation using Cisco SDWAN (Viptella)
    • Software Defined Access design, deployment and automation using Cisco SDA
  • Advanced Cisco routing and switching as well as WAAS, Identity Services Engine, Unified Wireless and other Cisco technologies
  • Proficient with BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols
  • Strong design knowledge of network segmentation and security in the data center and enterprise network
  • Experience of Cisco Tetration advantageous
  • Proficient with AWS Networking; VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connects, ACL and Security Group design and implementation.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Panorama and firewalls
  • Possess strong task/timeline-oriented skills to ensure projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Possess excellent organizational, communication (both verbal and written), and technical skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, users, business management teams and external clients.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of network management systems, for example Wire Shark, Solar Winds, Splunk, etc.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 15 years of broad network design and support experience with diverse global enterprise environments
