Summary of Essential Job Functions
➢    Manages a team of supervisors, data management, data operations associates and data/forecast analyst
➢    Implementing standard processes across team.
➢    Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement to the immediate supervisor
➢    Understands SSAE 16 compliance and ensures compliance as appropriate
➢    Establish and maintain an environment for development of cleaning processes and works with support to create automated data cleaners to minimize manual effort required to clean EDC files
➢    Manages the monthly/quarterly upload of EDC files to ensure all files have been processed
➢    Establish and maintain a repository of documentation for data management at sponsor/protocol level.
➢    Determines the required headcount and skills required to perform the functions of the department
➢    Coordinates with the Payments Management team on the onboarding of new clients and daily operations
➢    Works with the Client Lead and sponsor’s data management team to establish the process for collection of monthly/quarterly EDC files
➢    Identifies exceptions and works with the Payments Management team to ensure all data exceptions are resolved
➢    Establishes training, development and coaching plans for employees to ensure the team members have the skills needed to perform effectively in their roles
➢    Either directly or by representative, participates in sponsor kick-off meetings to communicate data management approach
➢    Manages the final EDC file upload and final reconciliation to support the study closeout process
➢    Maintains documentation of all data management processes for each sponsor and protocol
➢    Establish policies and procedures for data management
➢    Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Experience Requirements
➢    Associates or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or work experience
➢    3+ years of prior data management experience preferred
➢    2+ years of management experience preferred
➢    Client relations experience preferred
➢    Working knowledge of accounting applications for invoicing and accounts payable preferred
➢    Prior experience at a biotechnology company, CRO, pharmaceutical company or other organization supporting research activities in a financial or data management / analysis capacity preferred
