Job Overview
Provide high-level technical and general accounting services in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley rules, and the financial reporting requirements of the business unit (e.g., local GAAP).
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain standards for functional roles.
- Analyze, prepare, and process journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Maintain records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare financial statements and inter-company reconciliations.
- Generate ad hoc reports for internal use.
- Support annual external audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Obtain necessary approvals for accounting purposes.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Reconcile monthly bank accounts.
- Maintain receipts and disbursement reports.
- Interpret financial reports for managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Handle accrual and prepaid account reconciliation.
- Assist with month/quarter-end financial close.
- Post actual expenses and salaries.
- Execute vendor payments.
- Support representative offices and service companies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge of SAP Finance modules and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.
- Fluency in German is beneficial but not mandatory.
