We are seeking a Pathologist to join IQVIA Laboratories in Durham, NC in a hybrid position. This is a Part Time position.

You will be supporting the day-to-day operations of laboratories to deliver on sponsor requests and studies, including oversight of technical processes and procedures impacting pathology interpretations. You will also be performing microscopic analyses of laboratory assays and monitor digitization of slides.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reviewing and scoring Immunohistochemistry and FISH slides.
- Establishing new histopathology assays in the laboratory as part of a team.
- Providing pathologist input to discussions with clinical trial sponsors to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of clinical trial goals.
- Maintaining professional qualifications and accreditations in line with relevant authorizing bodies and continuing professional development.
- Reviewing routine histopathology slides daily to meet turnaround times for patient enrollment in clinical trials.
- Establishing and providing morphological diagnoses on H & E stained slides for oncological and general surgical pathology samples.
- Reporting results in accordance with regulatory protocols.
- Developing and implementing diagnostic and analytical procedures.
What we are looking for:
- Medical degree or foreign equivalent at the Licensed Physician level and certification in anatomic pathology.
- 7 - 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Preferred experience in a reference lab, clinical research organization, and/or clinical trials.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:
- Proficient in routine histopathology testing, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and cytogenetics (In-situ hybridization) testing procedures.
- Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
- Ability to bring projects and deliverables to completion under timeline expectations.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $184,100.00 - $341,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
