Job Overview
Assists businesses and other organizations operate more efficiently by identifying and measuring problems, and recommending, customizing and implementing solutions surrounding global public health related management, technology, clinical and strategy.
The Global Public Health Principal will work directly with clients to provide value added input, to develop business opportunities that will lead to additional starbursts and to deliver projects built around global public health priorities. The Principal has responsibility for ensuring delivery of high levels of client satisfaction. While the work is primarily within the area of global public health, there may be responsibility across multiple expertise areas and/or clients. This role will have business development/revenue responsibilities.  

Sub-Family Description
Delivers high quality, on-time deliverables to client projects to the government (primarily USAID) and other multilateral global organizations (e.g., WHO, PATH, etc.) across IQVIA product offerings to help meet global public health objectives.  
Works closely with other IQVIA leaders and Go-to-Market Team members within Government Solutions and global public health on an ongoing basis.  Responsible for the customization of business processes and the development of new business processes in coordination with leadership team to meet the needs of this nascent organization.  
Reviews and analyzes client requirements and develops insightful, value add proposals; communicates with clients; develops and may present complete client-specific solutions and recommendations.  Creates client reports.  Performs quantitative or qualitative analysis to identify and resolve client issues.
Connects business problems to proper solutions and offerings. Primarily project focused and solution driven. Develops and/or elevates new business opportunities through the identification of follow-on work and new leads. Provides follow-up with client after project deliverables are complete to ensure client satisfaction. 
Has elements of strategic consulting. Implements initiatives into business operations. Coaches/mentors teams, supports business development, and contributes to driving thought leadership within IQVIA and its clients. This role tiers into the Govt Solutions organization, with responsibilities to the overall global lead for global public health.

Essential Functions

  • Primary owner of client engagements with ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction and delivering high levels of quality/added value.
  • Achieves assigned revenue target for assigned country/region by offering and closing value-added solutions that address complex client issues.
  • Responsible for both the sale and delivery of projects. In concert with the Account Managers, defines and drives strategy & revenue across Global Public Health targets. Provides domain expertise within this sector on the environment, culture and market conditions.
  • Ensures high quality proposals and deliverables result in a high level of client satisfaction on all engagements.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients.
  • Fosters business line relationships.
  • Based on industry, organization, and client trends and issues, identifies new business opportunities.
  • Promotes awareness and market pull-through of IQVIA Global Public Health within the government through publications, presentations and conferences, etc.
  • Maintains a close alliance with all IQVIA practices, service lines, and product teams to ensure that the best interests of the client/government agency/organization and IQVIA overall, regardless of revenue recognition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced developing robust stakeholder maps by organization
  • Experienced in price-to-win strategy and leading pricing as the Capture Lead/SME
  • Experience with gate reviews and knowledgeable of Shipley processes/methods 
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, matrixed, environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, quality-oriented environment.
  • Direct experience designing, implementing, or evaluating government health programs, interventions, or policies.
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders within agencies and other non-governmental organizations.
  • Familiarity with broader government health programs and strategic priorities is also desirable.
  • Familiarity with and/or previous experience managing government projects specifically within USAID, and other multilateral global organizations like WHO, PATH, WEF, Global Fund, CEPI, and foundations.
  • Intellectual curiosity, creativity and a fondness for solving big challenges.
  • PhD, DSc, MPA, MPH, MHA or similar degree from a competitive academic program in a relevant field.


Required Qualifications

  • Deep experience and robust network of relationships with USAID, and other multi-lateral global organizations.
  • 15+ years of experience working with government health agencies/programs, including 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience presenting to and engaging with executive-level audiences.
  • Passionate about improving health and well-being.
  • An ability to develop working relationships within IQVIA across all levels of staff, management and executives to leverage IQVIA’s deep experience across a broad set of domains.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 15 years of related experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and sustaining long term relationships with clients
  • Previous experience of generating revenue, and P&L

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $180,500.00 - $335,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
