Role Overview

The Business Partner is the senior adviser and trusted partner to a select set of important clients in Switzerland and will play a pivotal role in deepening collaboration and trust and driving increasing success with these clients:

  • Operate across the client’s organization, particularly senior stakeholders, to understand client priorities and to help define and shape their commercial future, and to build long-term partnerships in which the full real world and commercial capabilities of IQVIA can be deployed to help achieve client objectives.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, understand and impact the client’s ambition and commercial strategy and align IQVIA’s resources against customer needs to sell and deliver high-impact work.

  • Support the broader Account Team, be responsible for building customer relationships and help the client architect winning commercial and asset strategies and build solutions that meet their objectives.

  • Reinforce IQVIA’s leadership across traditional offerings such as commercial portfolio and brand strategy, as well as increasingly important and innovative offerings such as evidence strategy, AIML-driven advanced analytics, and advanced technology to enable next generation customer engagement

Responsibilities

  • Drive overall business growth at targeted accounts, with a focus on increasing revenue, and profitability 

  • Establish or reinforce IQVIA’s position as a trusted advisor with the key client organizations

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with senior client decision-makers at the brand, franchise, and BU level; leverage the extended account community to build and maintain relationships at all levels.

  • Impact positively the client’s commercialization strategy and position IQVIA through thought leadership and innovation aligned to client strategic priorities; leverage appropriate IQVIA resources and subject matter expertise to support relationship development

  • Contribute to the cross-account team prospecting and client engagement strategy to ensure we proactively engage the account by anticipating client needs and leveraging IQVIA expertise to develop both short- and long-term opportunities.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in defining unique client solutions and differentiated value propositions.

  • Act as an internal and external ambassador to ensure excellent client experience and to ensure projects meet business goals with the highest quality insights and deliverables

  • Ensure other staff aligned to the accounts share a single, aligned view of the customer organizations and their key priorities

  • Participate in client governance, including development of charter, design of KPIs/metrics, and coordination and inclusion into executive level governance as needed. Resolve issues on behalf of the client and / or IQVIA. 

  • Operate as the client subject matter expert/voice of the customer, advising others on client needs, processes, organization structure and updates, relevant master agreements etc.

  • Collaborate across the enterprise to design, sell and oversee cross-functional solutions.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have a track record of success across the majority of the following competencies:

  • A highly seasoned executive with strong Pharma & Life Science Commercial domain expertise and a deep understanding of business strategy and processes of Biopharmaceutical companies

  • Natural leader and influencer, builds relationships easily

  • Advanced strategic thinking, framing, and problem-solving skills; prior consulting experience not essential but preferred

  • Excellent consultative selling skills and best-in-class relationship development skills

  • Ability to engage with Senior Executives as a thought partner or trusted advisor who can speak knowledgeably of the commercial, evidence, and access challenges facing a company or asset

  • Expertise in Solution Development, who can craft a compelling story, generate and evidence big ideas.

  • Collaboration and team leadership, with and without direct authority, as well as influence and persuasion skills

  • Strong financial acumen

  • Experience selling and negotiating large-scale and / or cross-functional solutions
