Scrum Master
Job description
As a Scrum Master, you will work with DMD’s Product Development Scrum teams and internal stakeholders to develop software applications and products from concept to deployment. You will help the development teams perform at their highest level while maintaining adherence to the established Agile/Scrum methodologies. Your primary objectives are to support, motivate and coach our high-performing development teams as they deliver truly cutting-edge products for some of the largest healthcare industry clients in the country.

A full understanding of agile methodology and practical experience using Scrum framework
Experience with the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
The ability to encourage, support, and guide continuous improvement of the teams and agile processes

Honesty, transparency and the ability to inspect and adapt
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Act as a “leader who serves” for your development team members
Promote and nurture team creativity and efficiency
Ensure each Scrum team member has the resources and information needed for success
Remove impediments for your team members and shield them from external interference
Execute the Scrum framework and supporting processes
Proactively coach team members on Scrum and agile best practices
Facilitate Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Retrospectives and Daily Scrum (Stand Ups)
Support Product Owners in short and long term release planning
Support Product Owners in maintaining a healthy Product Backlog
Consistently deliver established team reporting and guidance metrics
Facilitate organizational transparency via communication on scope, goals, milestones, risk, and critical issues
Enable collaboration and cooperation across teams by encouraging cross-training and team support
Maintain clarity and enforcement of “Definition of Done”
Research and stay informed of innovative ways to keep the team engaged, organized and focused; offer suggestions of ways to improve the processes or tools used for team collaboration
Develop close working relationships with all levels of product development
Education, Experience, Licenses/Certifications
BA degree with a specialty in communication, project management or equivalent work experience
Minimally a Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM-1)
3+ year experience as Scrum Master in a Scrum or SAFe environment
Additional Preferred Experience
JIRA/AHA!/Confluence proficiency
Scrum experience with distributed/remote teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical, process and problem-solving proficiency
A solid grasp of project management basic
