The Associate Director Strategic Workforce Planning, governs the planning and implementation of our Real World Evidence ("RWE") workforce strategies on behalf of RWE leadership to ensure we achieve sufficient capacity with the right skills at the right costs to allow our RWE business to be successful in the short and long term. 

Responsibilities

•            Partner with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, business leaders and other stakeholders to develop and execute on strategic workforce plans that incorporate business needs, assess talent gaps and leverage tools to model mitigation plans through scenario planning.

•            Prepare business case and secure investment for approved actions e.g., educational funding, training, university collaborations, acquisition / partnership etc.

•            Continuously measure and assess progress against workforce plans to ensure practical business alignment and lead cross-functional projects in the design of alternative/innovative approaches.

•            Identify and address issues in the implementation of workforce plans including but not limited to gaps in talent acquisition, training, resourcing, and reporting.

•            Maintain an understanding of the immediate and longer-term cross-Enterprise internal talent needs and strategies, with a focus on job families common to RWE across the GBU and RBUs. Partner across the Enterprise on workforce solutions as needed

•            Perform analyses and interpretation/evaluation of workforce information (internal and external) to deliver data driven insights and/or strategic recommendations. This includes understanding the workforce impact of changing business needs by study design, data source and client sourcing approaches (full service, single service, consulting (time and materials) project (task based) or functional sourcing (unit based or FTE)), and the impact of technology for productivity gains

Experience, Behaviours and Qualifications

•            Bachelor's Degree in business, life sciences or related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience in a relevant function (e.g., clinical operations, IT, data management, business, HR)

•            Relevant industry (CRO/pharmaceutical).

•            Experience planning and leading multi-stakeholder initiatives with a focus on talent strategy.

•            Excellent financial, analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

•            Ability to think both logically and creatively with a business-focused approach, high degree of organization and commitment to continuous learning.

•            Experience working closely with executives and driving results with teammates at all levels.

•            Experience leading collaborative, multi-functional projects and toggling between strategic and tactical efforts seamlessly.
