Our Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team is in process of broadening our capabilities in measuring and interpreting the patient’s experience with their disease and its treatment. What will you do

We are looking for an experienced individual with proficiency in designing, conducting, analyzing, reporting, and disseminating qualitative research activity.

While project delivery will be your primary responsibility, you also will be helping to build a new and growing unit of scientists in our Qualitative Research Group responsible for driving quality and consistency, and for advancing the science of qualitative research.

  • Design, conduct, analyze, report, and disseminate qualitative research activity

  • Project delivery will be primary responsibility; may take the form of qualitative lead, or moderator, or coding advisor

  • Contribute to development of qualitative research proposals

  • Assist Qualitative Research Center of Excellence leader to build and manage the group; may include oversight of moderator network and maintaining Teams / Smartsheet / Sharepoint sites

  • Manage and/or support one or more initiatives related to business development, training, governance, or thought leadership; own selected SOPS, Work Instructions, and templates used in qualitative research

  • Contribute to design and delivery of training programs to enhance qualitative research proficiency of PCS staff

  • Collaborate with other PCS scientists in various areas (e.g., quantitative methods, patient preference research, literature review, medical writing, regulatory support, etc.) to advance quality and innovation

  • Field ad hoc scientific and operational queries from PCS and other IQVIA staff related to qualitative research processes

  • Assist Quality Assurance as necessary to respond to audits or CAPAs related to qualitative research projects

  • Travel as necessary to support qualitative data capture or client/project management

Qualifications and experience needed

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; relevant fields may include public health, epidemiology, psychology, sociology, medical anthropology, marketing, and market analysis, but open to others; advanced degree highly preferred

  • At least 4 years of experience designing and delivering qualitative research; experience with coding and analytic software such as ATLAS.TI or MAXQDA highly preferred

  • Experience conducting synchronous and asynchronous online qualitative studies is desirable

  • Experience designing and delivering survey research also desirable

  • Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly, adapt, and apply new knowledge

  • Strong capability in juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skill in business English; may include presentations, workshop facilitation, business and report writing; additional languages an advantage

  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization and build relationships while working remotely

  • A willingness and ability to travel on request

  • Previous experience in life science consulting or pharmaceutical sector is a big plus
