Statistics Manager, Real World Evidence
The IQVIA RWE Global Biostatistics & Programming team deliver analytics for Observational and Low Interventional Clinical Trials predominantly in primary data collection but also secondary data including innovative approaches (enriched studies, Pragmatic Trials, etc.) IQVIA have been expanding their team of Biostatisticians in Portugal, and as part of that expansion we are looking to hire a Manager, Biostatistics to be based in Portugal and manage a team, providing direction and guidance for colleagues carrying out project assignments, and interfacing with clients and other internal IQVIA departments.
Your responsibilities will be wide ranging but could include communicating on project progress, and staffing issues, including resource allocation, with the Director, Biostatistics, as needed. Performing expert reviews jointly with other Biostatistics management staff. Participating as senior statistician on major projects, including developing/reviewing protocols, preparing analysis plans, overseeing the conduct of analyses, and preparing integrated clinical and statistical reports. You’ll be providing training, guidance and mentorship to staff. You may also contribute to request for proposals (RFPs), and attend client meetings including bid defence meetings.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have at least a Masters level degree in Biostatistics and several years relevant experience, most importantly including some experience in a management/ leadership role. We also need you to have:
• Familiarity with most complex statistical methods
• Strong working knowledge of SAS and/or R.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with good interpersonal skills.
• Sound judgment/decision making.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of relevant Data Standards (such as CDISC/ADaM)
