Senior Consultant - EMEA Virtual Meetings

Job Overview

Provide guidance and oversight to projects supporting the Project Managers who are delivering them.  Take part in consultancy projects and advise clients on how to improve production of Virtual and Hybrid events. Be able to provide insights that will improve client’s commercial communications performance based on data and analytics driven approach. Be a creative problem solver that can adjust offerings and use internal resources to provide bespoke solutions. Design Virtual & Hybrid Meeting concepts, pitch to internal and external stakeholders, assist with overall development and quality management of EMEA Virtual Meetings Team.  Will be involved in operational processes and account management.

Main accountabilities

  • Combine internal and external streams of information paired with IQVIA offerings to address unmet needs or come-up with creative ideas to enhance IQVIA VM services and present them to leadership
  • Act as an ambassador of the EMEA Virtual Meetings Team to all internal IQVIA stakeholders and promote cooperation with other IQVIA teams
  • Participate in proposal development and sales/proposal presentations, providing input into project proposals and RFPs
  • Nurture new and existing client relationships into becoming productive accounts and a source of repeat business
  • Manage client requests, define project scope & understand client strategy
  • Create Virtual Meetings Project concepts top to bottom by combining client goals & available technology in a robust project management plan
  • Advise on audience engagement strategy, meeting flow, scripting and risk mitigation practices
  • Produce and distribute status, tracking, financial reports and presentation materials for internal and external team members and senior management
  • Monitor and coordinate efforts of cross-functional project teams and project resources within and outside the organization
  • May need to Facilitate virtual meetings and events for clients leveraging a variety of platforms
  • Meet with team members on a regular basis regarding project tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Lead problem solving efforts
  • Train and mentor junior Consultants and Project Management staff
  • Partner with other Junior consultants & Project Managers to develop and implement process improvements
  • Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in running meetings & events for the Life Sciences industry is highly preferred. Experience in similar fields such as scientific content management or training courses design and delivery is also welcome
  • Comfortable with technology and with the concept of how analytics deriving from virtual engagement can lead to commercial insights
  • DES (Digital Events Strategist) or similar certification is a big advantage
  • Existing network of contacts within life-sciences industry is an advantage
  • Able to manage relationships between different groups of stakeholders. Previous experience with managing HCPs or faculty members in general is an advantage
  • Experience with managing any virtual meetings or events platforms is a plus (Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, Adobe Connect, ON24, Livestorm, SpotMe, 6connex or similar)
  • Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications
  • Proven fluency in English and preferably in one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Italian, German. Being native speaker will be an advantage. All other European languages are also of interest
  • Able to work in a flexible way outside office hours.
  • Strong project management skills: demonstrated ability to complete projects and deliver high-quality results according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

  • Teamworking: maintaining positive and collaborative attitude towards team members and contributing to creating strong team spirit
