Job description

Summary:
In collaboration with diverse and cross-functional stakeholders, architects, designs, develops, evolves, and maintains IQVIA Healthcare Data Transformation products, including the Healthcare Data Transformation Platform and OMOP Converter. HDTP enables the sourcing, curation, structuring and privacy-protection of complex patient healthcare information, delivering analysis-ready longitudinal data. OMOP Converter automates the conversion of complex health data to the OMOP Standard.

Essential Functions:
- Engage with clients across segments globally, with particular focus on payers, providers and governments in North America and Europe, to understand their needs for healthcare data transformation capabilities and associated underlying infrastructure for analytics
- Employ exceptional problem-solving skills on a day-to-day basis across organizational contexts, client segments, geographies, and tech platforms to drive growth for the organization
- Define, validate, recommend, and propose the right solution to meet current and anticipated client needs, in collaboration with clients
- Lead the solutioning in response to qualified requests for proposal (RFP) in which healthcare data transformation capabilities are required
- Drive delivery models that promote continuity for the client and organization along an intentional customer journey, from pre-sales activities to delivery
- Partner with all of the key stakeholder functions including Product, Delivery, Data Science, Engineering, Technology vendors, Statisticians and AIML experts
- Work with product owners and key stakeholders to understand and resolve healthcare data transformation needs, and meet product demands and delivery deadlines
- Review outputs of data standardization algorithms on multiple pooled trials, validate mappings, exercise judgement, and make recommendations to improve quality and model performance
- Demonstrate expertise in complex healthcare data, ontologies, privacy, AIML including Natural Language Processing
- Help to develop the cross functional processes and collaboration model with other Solution Architects to bring a multitude of Data Transformation, Analytics and AI products to market, including in partnership with clients and in response to RFP's

Minimum Required Education and Experience:
- Leadership experience across the software development life cycle (SDLC), including system requirements, architecture, design, coding, and operations
- Proven track record serving clients with technology solutions (and associated services) from pre-sales through to delivery and post-delivery support
- Proven problem-solving skills across a wide spectrum of domains and contexts, with demonstrated agility and capability along an end-to-end intentional customer journey
- A mix of experience in solution architecture and system integration
- Experience working in healthcare and/or life sciences with complex health data
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, including in the creation of high-impact visual and conceptual models
- Proven track record of working and collaborating with others effectively to facilitate problem resolution, ideally in a global context (i.e., across countries)
- Experience with Relational, NoSQL databases and big data platforms (Snowflake, Synapse, RedShift etc.)
- Knowledge and understanding of privacy regulations and industry-adopted data standards, such as OMOP
- Good foundational knowledge of information security best practices and standards

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Leadership experience in software and/or product development with a focus on architecture
- Relevant certifications would be considered desirable, including (but not limited to) those pertaining to privacy, information security, cloud, data architecture and modelling, OMOP, etc.
