We are seeking aFlow Cytometry - Associate Scientistto join IQVIA Laboratories atMarietta, GA.

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM

As an Associate Scientist, you will be responsible for performing routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures.

What you’ll be doing:

• Performing and documenting analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Conducting routine data analysis to ensure analytical procedures are proceeding as expected and results are within acceptable tolerances.
• Identifying and documenting potential performance errors or unusual results, escalating to senior lab personnel as needed.
• Preparing data analysis results for upload to the LIMS system under the guidance of senior staff.
• Assisting in quality investigations, deviations, and resolution.
• Preparing buffers and solutions for analysis as required.
• Reviewing and updating laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Guiding entry-level staff on routine procedures and supporting the onboarding of new staff.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
• Basic knowledge of assigned technical area, systems, and procedures obtained through prior work experience.
• Understanding of functional area and responsibilities.
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on the assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
• Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.
• Experience working with automation or specialized laboratory equipment.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $47,600.00 - $79,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
