We are seeking a Pre-Analytical Services Associate to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Valencia, CA.

Job Summary:Assist with a variety of routine activities associated with the receipt of clinical specimens.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist with receipt of consignments and shipments.
• Open shipments and quality check patient info forms, escalating issues to senior staff.
• Dispose of or recycle kit shipping supplies correctly.
• Conduct secondary checks of shipping materials to ensure no specimens are left in kit packaging.
• Support and respond to after-hour alarms and other critical functions.
• Assist in maintenance of equipment.
• Help with supply inventory functions and general cleanup of workstations.
• Perform various administrative duties as required.
• Organize the work area as requested by management.
• Handle receipt of compounds and control material, depending on the functional area.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Participate in continuing education through self-study and attendance of meetings.
• Perform work in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Requirements.
• Basic computer skills utilizing multiple screens for productivity.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and troubleshoot.
• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
• Able to work with and utilize Excel, Word Doc, and Windows.
• Prior shipping and receiving experience is preferred but not required.
• Able to lift, push, and pull over 20-25 lbs.
• Able to work with and handle Dry Ice up to -70 temperatures while utilizing proper PPE.
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed for this role:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
