We are seeking a Manager, Laboratory Technical Services to join IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA.

As the Manager, Laboratory Technical Services, you will lead a team of lab technical services staff, driving global technical harmonization and ensuring operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Hiring, training, managing, and developing lab technical services staff.
• Setting weekly operational activities and contributing to departmental strategy.
• Participating in budget planning and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensuring departmental activities meet safety guidelines and leading safety investigations.
• Leading complex projects, driving implementation of changes and enhancements.
• Monitoring and analyzing operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensuring operations meet quality guidelines and resolving CAPA and quality incidents.
• Screening and assigning workload, planning, and prioritizing tasks and projects.
• Fostering a unified culture and facilitating collaboration and teamwork.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or other relevant field.
• 7 years of experience in a clinical, research, academic, or commercial/production laboratory environment.
• 1 year of experience leading staff.
• Sound knowledge of relevant regulatory agency standards.
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

• Strong technical knowledge of complex testing procedures and laboratory equipment.
• Proficiency with complex laboratory calculations and quality control metrics.
• Knowledge of analytical procedures and developing assays.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $102,000.00 - $170,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
