Job Overview:

Responsible for the on-time completion of projects or components of large, complex projects for clients in the life sciences field. Identifies and elevates potential new business opportunities and assists in the sales process. This consulting team provides insightful guidance to life sciences companies globally with a specific focus on pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. We create and implement efficient processes and procedures to help these organizations stay compliant with applicable industry regulations and codes. We leverage best-in-class technology platforms to create and execute seamless compliance-based workflows and our consulting team provides strategic guidance and services to improve business efficiencies and processes for our clients.

The purpose of this position is to deliver consulting projects on time and on budget. You will support project leads (Engagement Managers and Principals) in delivering their projects and may lead your own projects. The ability to clearly communicate with clients and team members, create and maintain accurate and complete project documentation, and create high-quality, client-ready deliverables is critical to success in this role!

Essential Functions:

  • Participates or leads teams in the design, development and delivery of consulting projects or components of larger, complex projects.
  • Reviews and analyzes client requirements or problems and assists in the development of proposals of cost-effective solutions that ensure profitability and high client satisfaction.
  • Provides direction and guidance to Analysts and Consultants.
  • Develops detailed documentation and specifications.
  • Performs qualitative and/or quantitative analyses to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client specific solutions.
  • Designs, structures and delivers client reports and presentations that are appropriate to the characteristics or needs of the audience.
  • May deliver some findings to clients.
  • Recommends improvements and alternative solutions to resolve problems.
  • May identify new business opportunities of follow-on work and new leads at assigned client.
  • Provides follow-up with client after project deliverable has been completed to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Proactively develops broader and deeper knowledge of related consulting methodologies and life sciences market through on the job experience and participation in training opportunities. Begins to develop CoE specific subject matter expertise.
  • When acting as Project Manager, proactively manages project timelines and manages day to day communication with the client and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering projects to our clients as outlined in contracts and agreements.
  • Projects cover a variety of subject matter areas, such as:
    • Fair Market Value (FMV): policies and SOPs, methodologies, rate cards, tiering.
    • Transparency reporting and aggregate spend: process assessments, policies and SOPs, business process outsourcing and managed services.
    • Auditing and Monitoring: plan development, live monitoring, transactional reviews, data analytics and outsourced managed monitoring services.
    • Program and process design: compliance programs, HCP engagements, FMV, grants and contributions management.
    • Internal projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Create deliverables and internal materials such as slide decks and presentations; written reports; process maps; charts, graphs, and other data visualizations or oversee production of these items by other consultants.
  • Analyze datasets for trends or anomalies and outliers according to pre-determined criteria; explain findings.
  • Participate in and lead brainstorming and requirements gathering interviews; create requirements traceability matrix.
  • Develop and maintain project management documentation: project/work plan, status updates and reports, communication plan, etc.
  • Work with project lead(s) to coordinate and schedule project meetings with clients such as kickoff, status updates, and workshops.
  • Maintain internal project information and adhere to document management practices.

General Responsibilities:

  • Complete assignments accurately and on time.
  • Take direction and feedback from project leads.
  • Willingness to have a different opinion, ability to articulate thoughts and concepts well.
  • Strong capability in leading and participating in multiple projects and juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes.
  • Look for and suggest training/development opportunities for self.
  • Stay up to date on the news related to the industry.
  • Serving as a coach for 1-2 staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus, but not required! E.g., PMP, Seton Hall compliance, CCEP, etc.
  • 5-8 years of work experience as a strategy or management consultant or in-house experience with a pharma or MedTech manufacturer required. Experience in consulting within the pharmaceutical and/or MedTech industries are preferred. Big 4 consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Possesses solid project management skills and client influencing and relationship building skills.
  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization (internal and external) and build remote relationships.
  • Experienced with developing consultative relationships with senior level managers and executives at clients in the life science industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities, and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools, and techniques related to functional area.
  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the life science industry.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills.
  • Has established network and referral contacts.
  • Has necessary subject matter expertise to effectively manage projects within a given CoE.
  • Entrepreneurial, well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, team player; ability to collaborate across teams to maintain consistency in project delivery practices.
  • Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly, adapt and apply new knowledge.
  • A willingness and ability to travel to client sites or IQVIA-sponsored events.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $127,200.00 - $212,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
