Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Finance Business Analyst, collaborating closely with commercial, sales, and delivery leads to drive the success of our IQVIA product portfolio. Your expertise will be pivotal in providing comprehensive commercial and financial support by overseeing and managing profit and loss (P/L), utilizing both bottom-up and top-down forecasting methods to ensure accurate revenue and margin predictions. You will ensure monitoring and management of project financials, aiming to maximize profitability and cash flow. You will also uphold both internal and external financial controls to maintain integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regular monitoring of pipeline in coordination with local / regional Sales and Commercial teams to effectively forecast revenue through the revenue roadmap process.

• Conduct regular reviews and analysis of assigned offerings, including review of revenue recognition, project performance, and unbilled/unearned positions. Monitor monthly compliance reports, to ensure timely reporting of revenue and billing deliverables by Project Manager.

• Prepare monthly reporting requirements for assigned offerings, including unsigned contract opportunities, backlog, and other ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

• Manage project journal entries, write-offs, and financial adjustments and ensure they are properly documented, reviewed and approved.

• Review and support the Sales and Commercial teams with the pass-through and non-pass-through cost process.

• Review and provide variance analysis to the management P/L for the assigned offering.

• Manage the monthly forecast and budget plan for the management P/L and the assigned offering.

Required profile:

• Typically requires 1-3 years’ business controlling or project finance experience

• University degree (Master/Bachelor) in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent

• Knowledge of revenue recognition, variance analysis, unbilled/unearned and cash flow management, and forecasting

• Knowledge of month end process and P&L management

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications; knowledge of Hyperion, and SAP would be of advantage

• Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and a strong attention to detail

• Good communication skills and pro-activity

• Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.

• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet tight deadlines, while supporting the execution of complex projects

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and internal clients.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written) to a strong business standard; fluency in German (written and spoken) is a plus
