Our Surgical Tech’s OR Sterile Processing Tech’s experience a unique opportunity to employ their expertise to collaborate with healthcare professionals and advocate for the well-being of patients through medical device technology. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on a patented, 100% green, multi-tray sterilization system that eliminates the need for “blue wraps” and resultant bio-hazardous waste.

IQVIA is hiring Sterile Processing Technicians OR Surgical Technologists in ATLANTA, GA

**This is a 3-month contract to start, 40 hours per week. Possible opportunity to extend the contract and support other regional sites. Ability to travel required**

• Desired background 
• Sterile Processing Tech OR Surgical Technologist 
  • Experience in SPD/Central Services, Surgical Service, and/or the OR required
  • Understanding of process-based work.
  • Basic mechanical ability.
  • Ability to travel regionally and nationally required
  • Intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with basic software programs.
  • Strong professional acumen with the ability to work collaboratively in group settings.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard schedules.
  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of standing, and ability to bend or kneel as needed.
  • Able to present to groups and facilitating learning.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, schedule management, and organizational abilities.
• Job Activities 
• Responsible for achieving and growing total revenue via increased utilization.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate records.
• Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs of the Sterilization systems.
• Oversee and/or assist SPD with set up and loading of the Sterilization Systems (“station”) into the sterilizers.
• Oversee and/or assist with tray audits before being placed into the “station” for accuracy.
• Oversee and/or assist with transport and delivery of the station to the OR.
• Communicate daily with SPD/OR staff. Must be able to resolve issues or offer alternatives when necessary.
• Perform OR visits to track any potential issues.
• Perform in-services with SPD/OR staff on loading, unloading and proper functions of the “station”. Assess ongoing education and clinical support requirements for successful implementation.
• Meet with service line coordinator and DOS to choose “station” cases.
• Develop and implement action plans to streamline “station” processes.
• Participate and assist in new Sterilization employee orientation, on the job training, in- service education and Sterilization or facility quality assurance programs when needed.
• Conduct surgeon and staff satisfaction surveys.
• Identify customer needs and proactively address issues arising from insufficient familiarity, knowledge, or understanding of the product.
• Assist facility staff in any redesign of vendor tray management programs to maximize vendor tray efficiencies and efficient process.
• Track metrics, such as set up times, turnover times, processing time, etc.
• Develop and manage “station” associated preference cards for orthopedic and spine cases.

The pay range for our Sterile Processor Technicians is $28.00 - $37.00 hourly - The pay rate for our Surgical Technicians is $32 - $42 hourly.

The actual pay will vary based on qualifications and competencies.

The potential base pay range for this role is $28.00 - $42.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
