Job Overview

Provide high-level technical and general accounting services in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley rules, and the financial reporting requirements of the business unit (e.g., local GAAP).

Essential Functions

• Develop and maintain standards for functional roles.
• Analyze, prepare, and process journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Maintain records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare financial statements and inter-company reconciliations.
• Generate ad hoc reports for internal use.
• Support annual external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Obtain necessary approvals for accounting purposes.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Reconcile monthly bank accounts.
• Maintain receipts and disbursement reports.
• Interpret financial reports for managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Handle accrual and prepaid account reconciliation.
• Assist with month/quarter-end financial close.
• Post actual expenses and salaries.
• Execute vendor payments.
• Support representative offices and service companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Knowledge of SAP Finance modules and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.
• Fluency in German is beneficial but not mandatory.
