Consultant, Emerging Biopharma Analytics


Overview

IQVIA's Emerging Biopharma Analytics team provides data driven analytical solutions for life sciences commercial teams, with a deep understanding of oncology and specialty markets.

Our strong history in specialty commercial solutions, combined with capabilities in commercial analytics and deep oncology knowledge, set the stage for growth and allow for expanded capacity to support pharma customers in an increasingly competitive environment.

As a Consultant within our team, you will be responsible to create and deliver data-driven analytical solutions for our clients. Consultants leverage their analytical, technical and communication skills to solve client’s business problems and provide high impact end-to-end statistical and consulting solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consultants are primarily responsible for leading project execution by understanding the client’s problem statement, designing analysis/model framework that works best, and coordinating team meetings to communicate the model results.

  • Collect and analyze requirements, designing and developing deliverables to answer business questions from clients.

  • Create Promotion Response Models, Sales Force Sizing & Structuring, Incentive Compensation Design and Goal Setting models for our clients’ sales teams.

  • Develop prescriber targeting lists using advanced technical tools like R, Tableau, Python, SAS and Excel.

  • Foster client relationships and serve as key point of contact for clients across projects.

  • Mentor associates, guiding them on advanced analytics and help define their goals and provide feedback.

  • Help with firm initiatives on recruiting, learning & development, and practice area expertise.

Qualifications

  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in management consulting, data analytics or similar roles in biotech / pharma.

  • Analytical skills with ability to translate complex analysis into strategic insights and recommendations for sales and marketing teams.

  • Proven knowledge and experience in working with healthcare data sets (IQVIA, Symphony, Secondary Market Research etc.)

  • Direct experience in SAS, SQL, R, Tableau, Qlikview

  • Experience with onshore/offshore staffing model preferred, but not required.

  • Results-driven with focus on excellence and quality.

In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining our team should have:

  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree

  • Master’s in Science/Technology or MBA is preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience managing teams and/or projects.

Please Note: This position is hybrid, requiring onsite work in our New York or San Mateo office(s) 2-3 days per week.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $99,800.00 - $174,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
