We are seeking a Laboratory Lead to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business at our Indianapolis, IN location.

Job Summary:

The Lab Technical Services Lead acts as a specialist to perform procedures to monitor the performance and reporting of laboratory assays, providing technical insight for equipment/platform selection and technical transfer of assays. They act as the primary point of contact for daily technical and logistical inquiries from the team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and maintain the local laboratory Quality Control Program and database, performing statistical analysis of data and quality control performance data reviews.

  • Validate assays through statistical analysis, troubleshooting the effective implementation of analytical methods, and providing technical information to relevant parties.

  • Develop and maintain all aspects and phases of proficiency testing and accreditation programs.

  • Develop and maintain yearly schedules for regulatory functions and perform data analysis for linearity and comparison studies.

  • Act as technical SME to liaise with IT/systems teams.

  • Draft new SOPs and maintain existing SOPs related to departmental activities.

  • Assist in process improvements and troubleshooting to improve efficiencies and quality delivery.

  • Assist with monitoring compliance and quality incidents to ensure resolution.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2 years of experience in a clinical, research, academic, or commercial/production laboratory environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others and navigate challenges in operational and people matters.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory agency standards.

  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, clinical laboratory assays, quality control, and validation procedures.

  • Strong technical knowledge of complex testing procedures and science supporting the analysis.

  • Proficiency with complex laboratory calculations including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.

  • Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

  • Applicable certifications and licenses as required by local regulations.

  • Proficiency with laboratory software systems and databases.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $55,500.00 - $92,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
