As a Medical Writer specializing in patient communications, you’ll play a crucial role in translating intricate medical information into clear, accessible language. Essential Functions:
Dive into scientific literature and source documents, distilling complex ideas into patient-friendly content.
Craft accurate, grammatically sound materials, adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
Work closely with internal teams, clients, and healthcare professionals to gather comprehensive briefs and address queries.
Tailor content for diverse educational needs and target audiences.
Navigate feedback from clients and authors, ensuring a balanced, professional approach.
Keep up-to-date with industry standards and SOPs.
Own your workload, anticipating capacity challenges.
Contribute to cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science or Medical field, or Communications/Marketing.
Minimum of 1 year in writing or related roles, or equivalent education/training.
Experience writing for patients or non-medical audience
A passion for making complex information clear to ordinary members of the public is essential
Advanced English level (written and verbal)
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), research tools, and interpreting scientific data. Experience using AI is a plus.
Strong medical writing skills, with an eye for detail.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
