Job Description
The Junior Cloud Operations Engineer supports the operation of cloud‑native platforms with a focus on Kubernetes and microservices‑based applications. This role assists with day‑to‑day deployments, monitoring, and operational support of containerized workloads in Azure and/or AWS environments. The position works closely with DevOps and application teams to ensure stable, reliable, and compliant production and non‑production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Support day‑to‑day deployments of microservices on Kubernetes platforms (e.g., AKS/EKS) across multiple environments.
Assist with routine Kubernetes operations, including monitoring workloads, validating deployments, restarting services, and basic troubleshooting.
Execute and support application deployments through CI/CD pipelines, Helm charts, and approved deployment configurations.
Monitor application and platform health, respond to alerts, and support incident triage and resolution for containerized services.
Coordinate with development and DevOps teams during release activities, configuration updates, and environment readiness checks.
Support operational maintenance activities such as configuration updates, certificate renewals, and container image updates.
Follow defined service management and change processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates.
Maintain deployment runbooks and operational documentation to support consistent and repeatable operations.
Preferred Qualification
Degree / Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
