To recognize the more than 20,000 employees based in India, the local team held their first India Appreciation Week.

At IQVIA, we know the importance of recognizing our people. Whether it’s an e-card or financial reward, employee engagement event, or a simple acknowledgement from a teammate, we want our employees to know their achievements — large and small — are valued and contributing to the greater success of their team and the company overall. To celebrate our 20,000-plus employees in India, many of whom joined the organization in a remote or hybrid environment, our leaders held an India Appreciation Week. This virtual employee engagement initiative was meant to recognize our people, ignite team spirit, and promote a sense of belonging.

“The campaign was great,” said Gurulingamurthy Kotrappanavara, Senior Software Developer. “We shared appreciation notes and connected with our colleagues, helping to build stronger relationships and spread positivity.”

The event was hosted on our internal networking platform, Yammer, where colleagues exchanged praise and appreciation for fellow teammates and line managers who have made a positive impact on their experience at IQVIA.

“It was truly inspiring to scroll through the newsfeed to read the messages,” said Shiben Kumar Moitra, Senior Director, Human Resources, India. “Each team member came forward to spread joy and gratitude. At IQVIA, we take every opportunity to celebrate our accomplishments and this week only deepened that sense of appreciation and community.”

An average of 11,000 employees engaged on the Yammer platform daily, with nearly 3,000 appreciation messages, photos and videos exchanged. The outcome was a true representation our people going above and beyond to bring out the best in each other.
