What if your career didn’t just fit your life — but moved with it? At IQVIA, many of our roles allow flexible ways of working, understanding that no two employees experience life the same way. In this blog, you’ll meet one of our employees who is building her career while leaning into these flexible options.
Meet Julie Bridges, senior recruiter and proud military spouse
Julie Bridges has spent nearly five years helping grow our clinical research associate and clinical trial educator teams. She started as a contractor and is now a senior recruiter, but her journey hasn’t been a straight line.
As a Marine spouse, Julie moves often: North Carolina (NC) to Texas, then back to NC and now Hawaii. Through every move, her career stayed on track thanks to flexibility and support.
“When I told my manager we might be moving to Hawaii, she was a huge advocate for me, and she immediately got it approved with no issue,” said Julie. “That support meant everything. Military spouses often struggle to keep jobs through relocations, so I feel incredibly lucky.”
To ensure she can align with her team in other parts of the world, Julie’s working hours are from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“I am a morning person, so I actually love getting up and completing my work early,” she said. “That frees up my afternoons to explore the island. My husband surfs, and I’ve been wanting to learn, so one of these free afternoons I’m finally going to grab a board and join him!”
Julie’s advice for staying connected while working remotely? Get involved in the IQVIA community as much as possible. From joining projects to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), there are a multitude of opportunities at IQVIA to develop your skills and connect with coworkers, whether you work on-site, hybrid or remotely.
