Job Description

The Manager, Program Management is responsible for ensuring the quality and operational effectiveness of day to day operations and that these operations are meeting standards within the Program Management Team.  The Manager is ultimately accountable for the quality and consistency of programs, Ongoing proposals and sales orders and is accountable for the management of various internal and external initiatives and projects through to successful delivery. The Manager will also be accountable for key client accounts and will work with the Corporate Account Manager and account team to Manage the client and their associated programs and opportunities. The role will be responsible for managing both the Program Managers and the Program Coordinators, monitoring performance, providing training, coaching and mentorship. The Program Manager’s strategic mandate will also include an assessment of the current operation structure and recommendation on improvements to optimize quality and execution from the team. ​

Essential Job Functions:

  • Implement zero-based review for the PM role ; responsibilities and interdependencies with other groups
  • Collaboration with the Associate Director of Patient Engagement Solutions to develop and ensure execution of tactics linked to the corporate strategy as it relates to service delivery and the Program Management Team.  
  • Collaboration with the Associate Director of Data Solutions to develop and ensure KPIs linked to the Client strategy are implemented and maintained. 
  • Oversee and monitor the Program Management process adherence, ensuring that internal and external sales support is provided to the highest standard.
  • The Manager will program manage and maintain key client accounts ensuring all required information is up to date and accurate according to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage and assist in the creation of tools and processes dedicated to program management and service delivery helping define cross departmental service delivery.
  • Manages the development of solutions with internal and external stakeholders by facilitating brainstorming sessions, team meetings, building associated proposals and project timelines.
  • Manage the Program Managers and Program Coordinators monitoring performance, providing training, coaching, mentorship and monthly and annual reviews.
  • Resource management, account alignments and resource modelling.
  • Hiring request process as it relates to resources within the team.
  • Drives stakeholder learning into stronger, more strategic customer plans and results.
  • Provide support for escalated client issues.
  • Develop and maintain a positive, professional work environment and establish clear lines of communication
  • Consistently focuses on the culture of the organization, ensuring that all human resource activities and programs are in line with the organization’s culture, mission, vision, and values.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum five years of experience in a project management or program management related role
  • Minimum five years of experience in people management
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration.
  • Comfortable and familiar with participating in high performance, fast paced team environments
  • Experience in industry knowledge pertaining to pharmaceutical sales or private and government sponsored health insurance plans would be considered and asset.
