This individual will be a member of the new IQVIA financial shared services center in Bratislava Slovakia, supporting our operations in EMEA, which is an integral part of our global financial shared services network.
This position will assist the VAT Manager responsible for VAT reporting and accounting for IQVIA entities across 27 countries.
This includes a broad range of day-to-day VAT related general duties associated with EMEA VAT accounting and reporting, to ensure Vat accounting is complete and accurate and ready for reporting per relevant country time lines.

  • Support month end process, reconciliations and reporting within deadlines and instructions.
  • Where applicable, ensure appropriate VAT reporting communication with all business partners.
  • Support the VAT Manager on VAT inspection audits or general communications with Tax Authorities.
  • Support the VAT Manager on both internal and external audit tasks as required.
  • You will be assigned a geographic responsibility for which you will, using our PeopleSoft ERP system  prepare:
    • VAT / Intrastat / EC sales list reports as required
    • VAT control account reconciliations
    • Reviews of AP & AR data for VAT compliance
  • Support the VAT Manager to harmonize all VAT processes, including testing of new VAT configuration and functionality across our PeopleSoft ERP system and feeder sub modules.
  • Support the onboarding of additional countries to the new IQVIA financial shared services center in Bratislava Slovakia.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Strong VAT knowledge combined with broader experience of relevant accounting or VAT experience
  • Strong communication skills. – effective verbal and written communication skills in both English and relevant local language(s)
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of intellectual curiosity; inquisitive.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and managers.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to juggle and prioritize multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service focus, with a drive to ensure that we exceed the expectations of our customers.
  • Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles and challenges in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in accounting; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Technical accounting skills.
  • Good analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
  • May require occasional travel.

Min. basic wage 1,600 EUR gross / monthly BASED ON EXPERIENCE
