Skills and Requirements

As a key leadership role in the Clinical Trial products group, the role of Validation/SDLC lead provides compliance leadership and direction to business and product teams in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)/Computer System Validation standards and practices.  This is accomplished by:

• Participating in the delivery of system solutions by documenting SDLC/CSV/Qualification activities;
• Developing validation/qualification/migration strategies for software, data, and/or business processes prior to release into a live environment per company procedure(s);
• Executing validation/qualification/migration strategies per company procedure(s);
• Providing validation/ qualification training to stakeholders as necessary;
• Acting on any relevant feedback from key customers and stakeholders to ensure the total validation/qualification solution delivered to the customer meets or exceeds expectations;
• Working with Testers to ensure that appropriate processes are followed and necessary artifacts are produced;
• Ensuring that SDLC/CSV/Qualification activities are conducted in a cost-effective manner;
• Acting as a subject matter expert on SDLC/Qualification procedures, and providing guidance to OCT resources at all levels;
• Supporting all Product testing processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards;
• Ensuring that all SDLC deliverables are completed and stored appropriately;
• Leading resolution efforts when issues are identified, and escalating issues appropriately;
• Actively sharing emerging industry standards/trends with customers and peers within area of responsibility;
• Supporting the response and remediation of corrective actions and internal audits with the internal QA team;
• Working closely with vendors to complete required tasks
• Proactively identifying and assisting in prioritizing opportunities to automate or streamline testing and quality procedures, while maintaining compliance.

We'd like to see:

• Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills;
• A bachelors degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a science disipline;
• A minimum of 8 years of IT experience and 4 years of experience in SDLC/Qualification or Lead/CAPA roles on software development or IT-related projects;
• Experinece with test automation tools, planning and execution;
• A strong customer and service orientation to support interaction with team resources and clients;
• A proven track record of performance and productivity resulting in superior quality testing processes and outcomes;
• Experience with IT Risk Management and Control policies and procedures;
• Previous experience working effectively as part of a globally diversified team or matrix organization;
• A demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse range of people to deliver effective and innovative results.
