The Digital Solutions team within Site and Patient Networks is looking for UI/UX Designer. This role works in conjunction with the Digital Solutions team, and other internal/external stakeholders, to formulate and define the User Experience on projects: creation of personas; information architecture; creation of content/site maps; design of low/high fidelity wireframes; creation of user flow diagrams and clickable prototypes; and UI design for various global web assets (websites and media) and apps. This is a high profile role that requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Accurately estimates the scope and time requirements to complete projects
  • Provides accurate and timely updates to project manager and/or team lead on progress
  • Assist in defining deliverables
  • Conducts UX research
  • Creates low/high fidelity prototypes and conducting user testing
  • Design and present UX and UI designs, research and methodologies to internal and external stakeholders, and also educate them about UX and UI design, methodology, process, and value
  • Participates in peer review of deliverables such as code, designs, and test plans produced by other team members
  • Works with the documentation team to assure new functionality is properly documented
  • Conduct UAT on all final deliverables
  • Performs other duties as required

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in a variety of interactive architecture and design tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Omnigraffle, Indesign, Visio, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate uses of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, Flash, xCode, and knowledge of the software development process (does not need to be a coder)
  • Understanding of the importance that SEO and SEM play and how they impact UX and UI design
  • Experience with using a 'mobile first' approach to design

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, User Experience or related discipline and 2-5 years experience as an information architect, user experience designer, interaction designer, UI designer or similar role for websites and interactive applications
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
  • Extensive use of keyboard and mouse requiring repetitive motion of fingers and wrists
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time
