A full Job Description is attached but in summary the Training Manager Role supports the continuous improvement of the training function through development and implementation of the GBO-specific Mentoring, Career Pathways Programme and the Business Operations Academy (BOA). Deliver Learning and Development programs globally to support onboarding new team members and current colleagues’ career progression. Develop, deliver, administer, interpret and comply with learning programmes according to established policies and procedures.

Provide expertise, support and advice to GBO management teams and staff, either locally, regionally, or globally. Serve on initiatives, share best practices and coach/mentor more junior trainers as needed.

Overview

As part of the Learning Education & Development (LE&D) Team you will directly assist in delivering Global Business Operations (GBO’s) Vision to ‘... ensure a Superior Customer Experience by promoting collaboration, differentiation and accountability while leveraging best-in-class ecosystems...’ and its daily mission to ensure high quality proposals, contracts and RFI responses are provided to all customers within the required timeframes. 

As a GBO training manager you will:

Support the continuous improvement of the training function through development and implementation of the GBO-specific Mentoring, Career Pathways Programme and the Business Operations Academy (BOA). Deliver Learning and Development programs globally to support onboarding new team members and current colleagues’ career progression. Develop, deliver, administer, interpret and comply with learning programmes according to established policies and procedures.

Provide expertise, support and advice to GBO management teams and staff, either locally, regionally, or globally. Serve on initiatives, share best practices and coach/mentor more junior trainers as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible for the development and delivery of the assigned Business Operation Academy (BOA) as part of the GBO Career Pathways Programme.
  • Develop, update and deliver GBO other specific training programmes as part of the GBO Career Pathways Programme.
  • Develop, interpret and deliver the Mentoring and Coaching learning programs as part of the GBO Career Pathways.
  • Prepare course materials for GBO-specific training programs and sessions.
  • Provide training and development support globally, with additional emphasis on oversight of GBO-specific programs
  • Consult with GBO leadership and management and perform assessments around specific business-related issues, propose solutions and resolve issues
  • Regularly communicate learning and development accomplishments and programs under development to management and staff in assigned geography.
  • Conduct course evaluations, both internal (In-Val) and external customer feedback (Ex-Val), and make suggestions to GBO leadership and management on continuous improvement
  • In concert with their Line Managers, provide career and development consultation to employees.
  • Develop recommendations and solutions for training issues independently.
  • Identify and make recommendations for the learning program and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a network of professional training contacts.
  • Maintain and keep current on developments and trends in the training field. Serve on task forces, as required.
