Principal Accountabilities:

This position will serve in the Statistical Services’ Applied Methodology group providing methodology related support for a wide range of QuintilesIMS syndicated data offerings.

This position will work closely with their manager to provide support in applying statistical methodologies to assigned tasks. Responsibilities include learning the production systems and processes in order to address issues as they arise.  This will involve taking ownership of monitoring, QC and methodology for specific aspects of the production processes, resolving resource scheduling issues, and maintaining good working relationships with other support teams.

The candidate will conduct analytic reviews to derive conclusions from the data and prepare written summaries of the results. The position works as part of a team on projects typically of limited scope within defined procedures and practices.  The candidate should further have the ability to carry out moderate analysis and information gathering to resolve problems on non-routine matters.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, creative thinker with strong analytical problem solving skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated project planning capabilities.  The technical ability to extract, manipulate, and combine datasets from different sources and platforms is required.  The candidate will correspond with colleagues of varying levels in multiple countries, so clear written and oral communications are required skills.


  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with up to two (2) years of experience in operations research, market research, or applied statistics. 
  • Experience with large data sets and basic knowledge of SAS programming languages in both PC and mainframe environments is preferred.  
  • Intermediate EXCEL skills are preferred. 
  • Microsoft Word and Powerpoint experience is also helpful.
  • The position includes opportunities to learn and use other software packages/languages such as R and SQL.
