Statistical Services - with departments in Frankfurt, Philadelphia, Paris and Milan as well as a network of over 300 experts worldwide - is the global competence center for statistics at IQVIA. Statistical Services is responsible for quality and further development the statistical procedures and methods used. The team is in charge for the maintenance and improvements mainly in the field of survey methodology and data quality assurance. Currently we are looking for candidates for the full-time position of:


Senior Statistician

(Location: Frankfurt/M., Germany)

to support CESE (Central, East and South Europe) Business Unit with a special focus on Central Europe Countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Conceptualizing, planning and conducting complex statistical data analyses
  • Support of client projection
  • Structured preparation, visualization and presentation of analyses results
  • Collaboration in innovation projects for existing and new processes and offerings
  • Development of new methodologies and approaches to deliver custom solutions to our clients as well as implementation of concept studies
  • Support in the implementation of new statistical technologies and innovations (including Data-Mining and Machine Learning)

Profile Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Master degree in Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science or related field
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in quantitative data analysis or PhD with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience
  • Good knowledge of the higher statistical and econometric methods in theory and practice (including Machine Learning and Data Mining technics)
  • Experience working with Big Data (Data-Mining)
  • R is a must and further statistical programing skills in SAS/Python/SQL is favorable
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office package (especially Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) including technical aspects of a project, ability to develop usable documentation, results interpretation and business recommendations
  • German language skills (at least grade C) and excellent English language capability
  • Strong analytic mindset and logical thinking capability with problem solving skills
  • Innovative thinking and joy in solving challenges
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical market and experience with pharmaceutical data (medical, hospital, pharmacy, claims data) would be a plus, but not a must
