Roles and Responsibility:

Drives and manages process improvement projects with local and global impact within Lifecycle Safety (LCS), which may include LEAN Sigma, Kaizens, PeX and consulting with LCS subject matter experts (SMEs). Analyzes complex business activities, makes recommendations for improvement, assesses potential savings, and manages or monitors implementation of solutions.

Essential Functions:

• Identifies and screens process improvement opportunities/projects, which may include LEAN Sigma

• Assesses and summarizes the current or “as is” state of complex, problematic processes or systems from a strategic and tactical viewpoint.

• Facilitates sessions with users, subject matter experts, and/or business owners to extract key user and business

requirements.

• Designs new or improved workflows for technology or non-technology-related projects based on opportunities identified in the current state analysis, the users’ needs and input.

• Writes documents that summarize the current state, user requirements, vision for the future, and business cases to clearly describe the issues, desired changes, urgency for change, and the cost/benefit to the organization.

• Presents complex processes in a manner that can be understood by all business audiences.

• Works with management and stakeholders to identify project scope, priority, goals, and milestones.

• Writes project plans.

• Monitors and communicates project progress to the team, colleagues and management.

• Maintains project plan / process map documentation to reflect changes in the operating environment.

• Gathers and monitors key metrics to assess project performance.

• Manages program communication and governance

• May be required to mentor Process Improvement leads

• May be required to facilitate and deliver training sessions, which may include Kaizen and Lean Sigma training
