Job Description

The Senior Information Security Analyst role presents a dynamic opportunity to help the organization ensure the secure operation of the IQVIA global information technology (IT) infrastructure and processes through the establishment and implementation of a global information security program. This role plays a significant part in our Global Information Security team and will provide an excellent opportunity to liaise with key external and internal stakeholders while strengthening our Information Security function.

You will be part of a global structure partnering with the IT community and business teams and delivering an ongoing IQVIA global information security program. You will provide support and contribute to success of information security governance workstream by responding to business requests, resolving queries related to information security, while assisting in development, documentation and deployment of governing policies, standards and procedures, and assisting to deliver user awareness trainings.

You will also find yourself working together with other members of the IQVIA Information Security team, and liaising regularly with other management teams at IQVIA, including CIO organization, Global and Regional Business Units. Principal responsibilities will include:

  • Under management guidance, develop, document, maintain, review and communicate Global Information Security policies, standards, procedures and guidance documents including necessary revisions, updates and amendments to IQVIA Global Information Security Framework
  • Contribute to development and revision of content for the information security awareness programs, training materials
  • Assist in communicating alerts, information messages and carrying out awareness campaigns for information security
  • Contribute to the definition and development of operational metrics and produce regular management information reports in relation to activities carried out by the Global Information Security team
  • Participate in cross-functional assignments during implementation of information security program elements for business units and/or functions
  • Support local and global response to internal and external client questions and queries in relation to sales opportunities across the global organization
  • Develop and document operational procedures in relation to services delivered by the Global Information Security team
  • Assist in providing support to other management teams across the company in establishing relevant mechanisms for providing information security guidance and advice
  • Contribute to development of information security strategy including updates to the ongoing Information Security Program and annual plans
  • Perform identification, analysis, documentation and carry out maintenance of documentation repository for IQVIA information assets and intellectual property
  • Documenting and maintaining repository of information security safeguards landscape at IQVIA, identifying potential gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Carry out research on current industry trends, communicating updates and collating proposals for relevant adjustments to Information Security Program and annual plans
  • Perform data analysis and create spreadsheets and graphs to be presented at executive level meetings
  • Administer Information Security team sites and maintain intranet document repositories for the Information Security Program.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements

  • Significant experience in Information security controls, Information security architecture, Network security, or Information security governance
  • Advanced knowledge of IT governance frameworks and standards such as CobiT, ITIL, ISO27001
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, databases, processing systems, web applications, and mobile technology.
  • Working knowledge of information systems design, analysis, and operations
  • Experience and commitment in delivering significant value to organization as a trusted advisor
  • Experience of participating in cross-functional collaboration
  • Previous information technology related work experience is an advantage.
  • High level of accountability and ability to execute; familiar with estimating and planning own work effort including recognizing and escalating risks and issues in relation to delivery; attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, excellent team player and collaborator
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • PC proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Unix and Mainframe technology platforms is an advantage
  • The position may require occasional US domestic and international travel of approximately 10%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or information technology
  • A CISSP, CISM or equivalent professional certificate is preferred
  • An ITIL or project management certificates are not required but beneficial
