Position Purpose:

The person in this role is responsible for creating and maintaining one or more of the IQVIA Managed Care databases. The primary focus is on maintaining a relationship and providing services to our data suppliers.


  • In-depth knowledge of the Managed Care industry, IQVIA IP and client deliverables with the ability to articulate that knowledge in a written and verbal capacity is required.
  • Ability to proactively apply the methodology of IQVIA's Managed Care assets and the specifications of the Supplier to the IQVIA mapping process, QC process, data investigations and presentations.
  • Proactively identifies and recommends ways to enhance IQVIA databases, processes, deliverables & communications to create efficiencies and enhance client satisfaction
  • Serves as key Managed Care expert and point of contact with client and must be willing to travel for face-to-face client contact.
  • Ability to create operational presentations, lead and drive internal working sessions/meetings.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and actively participate in client working sessions/meetings dependent on role during each interaction.
  • Ability to situationally tailor communications and approach based on the audience and their level.  
  • Ability to proactively analyze output-identifying deviations that will impact the IQVIA audits, to assure that corrections are made and communication of such changes is distributed to the appropriate stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to view data through both vertical and longitudinal quality controls and across assets, to identify proactive prevention methodologies to be implemented within the IQVIA production stream, and to prevent the reoccurrence of issues.
  • Coordinates/consults with functional areas to optimize the use of files and materials.
  • Identifies and implements new automation opportunities to create process efficiencies.
  • Manipulates database query software and mainframe applications.
  • Uploads/downloads data upon demand. Displays the ability to perform maintenance within all files.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written & oral.
  • Provides backup support in the absence of staff members due to vacation and illness.
  • Provides project support & coordination, as well as day-to-day maintenance.
  • Receives virtually no supervision on day-to-day tasks.


  • College graduate with a minimum of 3 years work related experience, or a high school graduate with 5 years work experience with IQVIA Database Operations.
  • Proficient in written/oral communications.
  • Proficiency in Windows applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to upload/download data as needed through various software and mainframe packages.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into a language the user/audience can understand.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate output-identifying deviations that will impact the IQVIA audits to the appropriate stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to view data through both vertical and longitudinal quality controls, to identify proactive prevention methodologies to be implemented within the IQVIA production stream, and to prevent the reoccurrence of repetitive issues.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and help design the process to prevent database issues.
  • Provides supervision & guidance to other associates.
