Software QA Engineer



Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Development, Functional/Business and QA teams in all the phases of SDLC. 
  • Review the requirements and provide the QA estimations and raise any concerns or issues as needed.
  • Be involved right from the requirements phase and will prepare the logical test scenarios & test cases as needed.
  • Prepare test scenarios & test cases and requirements traceability matrix (RTM) to ensure the complete coverage
  • Perform test execution and share daily status reports/status calls
  • Ensure that all the issues that are identified are logged into JIRA
  • Work with Functional team/Development team to update defects with required information, if requested and move to closure by validating once fixed
  • Raise any issues and concerns to QA Lead/Manager as soon as they are identified for a resolution
  • Work with the QA Lead for potential resolutions for open issues/concerns and ensure all the test deliverables are met

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years+ of software testing experience in different domains

  • Jira experience required

  • Working with off-shore development teams
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
