Job Summary


This position is responsible for building and supporting features as well as managing peers and more junior engineers in the development of the DrugDev Spark platform.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  •  Independently lead the development of medium to large system components
  •  Contribute to the design and development of new features and applications.
  •  Identify opportunities for process and tooling improvements and drive implementation
  •  Lead Unit testing and functional testing of new functionality.
  • Support customers and professional services as required to address any questions or resolve any issues related to the DrugDev Spark platform.
  • Manage engineering team and provide mentoring to more junior staff
  • Perform peer code review.
  • Review of functional specifications and other validation deliverables.
  • Coordinate release management activities, including alignment with quality and validation processes
  • Serve as the back-up to senior engineering staff when others are unavailable
  • Lead recruitment and on-boarding of new team members, in collaboration with management and the broader team
  • Provide technical thought leadership and help evaluate emerging technologies and 3rd party products
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience

  • BS in a related field (CS, Math) or comparable experience 
  • Graduate degree desirable
  • 7 years of web application development experience or 5 years of web application experience plus graduate training 
  • 1 year of demonstrated success in development with DrugDev Spark or equivalent system preferred

Skill Requirements

  • Sound C#, .NET, .NET Core 2.X, Entity Framework, WebAPI, MS SQL Server, SQL, NodeJS, JavaScript SPA Technology (such as React or Vue.JS or Angular), HTML5, and CSS/SASS skills, able to coach and skill build in these areas.
  • Ability to manage developers
  • Understands Object Oriented patterns and practices
  • Familiar with design and architectural patterns
  • Comfortable working with MS Stack
