Job Overview
Provide support for the continuous improvement of the staffing function through development and implementation for all staffing programs for a geographically distributed organization, as assigned.   With limited guidance, provide comprehensive staffing support to management teams, as assigned.   With limited guidance, provide expertise, support and advice on the strafing process to assigned management teams as required.

Essential Functions

  • Meet with functional business leaders and line management to communicate and deliver staffing solutions. May require occasional interaction  with executive management.
  • May be required to support in meeting established financial targets and assisting with business development activities, depending on business line.
  • Provide managers at all levels with recruiting strategy plans, aligning the job roles and responsibilities, and business needs.
  • Work with hiring managers to source, select and hire qualified candidates to fill vacant positions, using cost-effective techniques and in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes.  
  • Manage applicant flow to ensure availability of qualified candidates and, compliance with diversity hiring goals and guidelines.
  • Write job postings to post and advertise positions in various recruitment platforms.
  • Review applications and conduct interviews to obtain information regarding applicant's work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.
  • Ensure the provision of timely hiring-related information to management teams as necessary.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to functional business leaders and line management to effectively support staffing goals.
  • Provide training to hiring managers on recruiting, interviewing and the selection process as required.
  • Create and coordinate job advertising in various media. Attend job fairs; develop and maintain contacts with universities, alumni groups and other organizations to identify potential applicants.    Create partnerships with recruiting agencies, advertising agencies, temporary hire agencies, job boards, background companies. Evaluate  contracts/ relationships with these external vendors and provide recommendations for modifications as required.
  • -Work with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates. Utilize Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates. Participate in special projects related to recruitment process within HR and across the business, HR and Applicant Tracking System systems, practices, procedures and compliance.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and demands impacting the company’s ability to attract competitive candidates; coordinate with the compensation team on salary offer considerations and equity concerns.
  • Provide guidance and direction to more junior members of the staffing team.


  • Bachelor's Degree  Req
  • 4 years experience within a staffing function as a recruiter or combination of recruiter and specialist experience Req Or
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience Req
  • Extensive knowledge of legislation in the recruitment process
  • Expert coaching and counseling skills
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Excellent  problem solving, judgment and decision making skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good influencing skills
  • Good understanding and awareness of  the commercial environment and market trends
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, HRIS applications and Taleo Applicant Tracking System
