Senior Sales Engineer Europe – the role

As a member of the European Clinical Technology Sales team, the Sales Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the entire sales cycle for our software solutions across EMEA, bridging the gap between the Sales and the Delivery teams post sale. You will be responsible for presenting product offerings in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in the organization’s technology and infrastructure, and addressing objections raised in the sales cycle.

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that puts you in a unique position of engagement and discovery, which, through listening to customers Clinical Operation needs, enables you to develop compelling demonstrations tailored to specific sales situations. You will apply your creativity, experience and industry knowledge to become an expert in our technology solutions and the addressable issues they solve at a prospect and customer site. You will be expected to collaborate with Product Management, Software Development, Marketing and Professional Services to ensure any key learnings from engagements are disseminated to the appropriate stakeholder.

Your typical activities might include:

  • Collaborate with sales executives to develop strategies that address the customer need, present decks and solution design material.
  • Through your engagements with customers, assess and scope new opportunities, develop proposals and contribute to business development.
  • Provide compelling product demonstrations and value-driven storytelling to win new business.
  • Articulate and defend the unique value propositions that differentiate our solutions from competitors.
  • Understand the unique needs of our prospective clients and position our solutions to address them in a meaningful way.
  • Support and lead various projects, process improvements and trainings.
  • Understand the wider Molecule to Market messaging of IQVIA.


Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • 3-5 years in a customer facing sales engineer role or solutioning role
  • Prefer 2+ years experience with Clinical Operations SaaS solutions, although transferrable skills from other relevant positions will be considered.
  • Have experience developing and presenting comprehensive demonstrations.
  • Fluent, verbal and written, in English.
  • Willingness to have a different opinion, ability to articulate thoughts and concepts well
  • Have willingness and preference to work alongside the team

Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent software skills
  • Capable of working with HTML, XML, Configuration Files and API’s is a plus
