  • Maintain a strong leadership presence throughout the organization by driving scientific quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Work towards designing and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • In collaboration with management, lead the development of strategies and priorities in the Immunoassay group.
  • Evaluate performance of assigned staff and provide feedback on areas of potential improvement in quality and efficiency.
  • Participate in the evaluation and adaptation of new technologies.
  • Provide direction to staff engaged in the oversight and conduct of a project throughout its life at Quintiles, including method development, method validation, and sample analysis.
  • Provide guidance to Technical Writing and QA to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • May function as a Project Manager on customer projects with responsibility to maintain all communication with customers, providing daily updates on all active projects while being vigilant for opportunities to earn additional business.
  • Monitor the progress of all projects in the group and alert management if work falls behind schedule.
  • Ensure projects are archived in accordance with Quintiles SOP.
  • Participate in weekly scheduling and revenue update meetings and provide updates on project progress.
  • Lead customer visits.
  • Visit customers.
  • Work with business development and scientific staff to prepare quotes for assigned customers.
  • Support and manages the performance and professional development of assigned staff.
  • Support human resource policy and timely adherence to performance management guidelines for all assigned staff. 
  • Responsible for upholding all safety standards, discipline guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements with all assigned staff.
